Terms and conditions.
The basis on which we quote and work. Figures and periods specific to your job are in the booking confirmation we send you.
1. Scope
These terms apply to quotes and clearance services provided by Dudley Rubbish Removals. The booking confirmation issued for your job sits alongside them; where the two differ, the booking confirmation takes precedence.
2. Quotes
Quotes are based on the information and photographs you provide, and on what we observe at a site visit where one takes place. They assume reasonable access and that the volume and material presented match what was described. Where either differs materially, we will tell you before loading begins and the quote may be revised. A quote is valid for thirty days from issue unless stated otherwise.
3. What we accept
General household and commercial waste, furniture, white goods and electricals, garden waste, construction and demolition waste, and scrap metal.
4. What we do not accept
Asbestos in any form. Clinical, offensive or medical waste. Chemicals, solvents, paint in liquid form, oils and fuels. Gas cylinders. Explosives and ammunition. Tyres in quantity. Any other material classified as hazardous. If hazardous material is discovered during a clearance we will stop work on that item and advise you of the appropriate specialist route.
5. Duty of care
Waste remains the responsibility of the producer until it is transferred to an authorised person. We will provide a waste transfer note on request for household work and as a matter of course for commercial work. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us the waste contains.
6. Access and property
You are responsible for ensuring safe and lawful access, for obtaining any parking permission required, and for making us aware of hazards. Where we must carry through occupied areas we will protect the route, but we cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage or for wear inherent in removing large items through spaces not designed for them.
7. Items of value
On house and property clearances we will set aside items that appear personal or potentially valuable for your inspection before disposal. However, you are responsible for removing anything you wish to keep before the clearance begins. Once material has been loaded and disposed of it cannot be recovered, and we cannot accept liability for the disposal of items you did not identify.
8. Liability and insurance
We hold liability cover for work carried out at your property. Limits and the claims process are set out in the booking confirmation. Damage should be reported at the time it occurs, before we leave the site where possible. We are not liable for loss arising from events outside our reasonable control.
9. Cancellation
Tell us as early as you can. Cancelling close to a booked slot may incur a charge reflecting resource committed and no longer reassignable; the scale is in the booking confirmation. Where a deposit has been taken it is refundable in full if you cancel within fourteen days of paying it, provided that period ends before the booked date.
10. Payment
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. For commercial accounts, payment terms are as stated on the invoice, and we reserve the right to suspend further collections where an account remains outstanding after the due date.
11. Complaints and governing law
Raise complaints with us first at hello@dudleyrubbishremovals.com. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
